    I currently have a really Important & Interesting role for Welwyn Council Which will help to combat Homelessness... because let's help get people off the streets and to give them a better Life


    Role:
    Housing options officer


    Rate:
    £16-£20/hr

    Hours: 37.5 per week

    Temp contract


    Role:


    To provide advice, help and support and find suitable solutions to help prevent or delay homelessness and to provide customers with practical options and suitable housing solutions.

    To agree Personalised Housing Plans (PHPs) with people who are threatened with homelessness
    or homeless under the terms of the Homeless Reduction Act
    Investigate and issue decisions on applications made under current homelessness legislation
    Make referrals to appropriate Temporary Accommodation, supported accommodation or longer
    term housing solution and/or support where necessary5 key requirements that we are looking at from the role profile are:

    Experience in dealing with the public on a front-line service
    Experience in assessing homelessness applications and making decisions on them
    Experience and Knowledge of the Homelessness Reduction Act and relevant duties
    Experience working with the Locata Homelessness Case management system (HPA2)
    High level IT skills and ability to write complex and detailed letters and emails
