    The Team:

    The Hiscox UK Change Team is the bridge between the business and the technology teams, ensuring that technology change is prioritised, defined, broken down and delivered in a way that enables the business to achieve its strategic goals, whilst also enabling the technology strategy. This means understanding the end-to-end context of the change, and having a laser-focus on value so that we can ensure both that we're doing the right things, and doing the things right.     The Business Analysis team are spread across the Colchester and York office, a passionate team committed to continually improving the Business Analysis capability at Hiscox UK.

    About you

    You'll be an experienced Business Analyst who is business savvy and collaborative, someone who enjoys working with Business Sponsors, Project Managers, Product Owners, Architects, Technical BA & Engineers and other required stakeholders to plan and execute analysis activities to delivery valuable outcomes for the business.

    You will have the opportunity to work on a range of project and value stream outcomes on our UK Change portfolio, giving you broad exposure to how the UK business operates, from the front line through to the back office functions and the technology that supports our ability to deliver superb service to our customers.

    Our projects can be driven by process improvement, integration of new ventures and delivery of regulatory requirements. The outputs of the projects can vary from large scale system delivery and upgrades to smaller, tactical solutions that open up business opportunities.

    When not working from home, the role can be based in either York or Colchester.

    What you'll be doing

  • Building a strong understanding of end to end user journeys & processes, their supporting technologies
  • Accurately and efficiently elicit, challenge, and document scope, processes & requirements. All while bringing the end user/s along the change journey
  • Producing high quality business and technical analysis deliverables, including but not limited to, user stories, functional and non-functional specifications, 'as is' and 'to be' process models
  • Ensuring the traceability of requirements and user stories throughout the entire change lifecycle
  • Applying BA best practice and insights that challenge the business to think about the "right" solution
  • Building relationships and trust with senior stakeholders, understanding goals, objectives and desired outcomes, and bringing them on the journey of engagement
  • Maintaining a close working relationship with Project Management, PMO, Product Manager and IT colleagues and working with them
  • Along with your BA colleagues, implementing continual improvements to ensure that we are constantly evolving how we do Business Analysis

  • BCS Diploma in Business Analysis or equivalent qualification
