Are you an experience warehouse manager with a proven track record looking for the next stage in your career? _


We are looking for a knowledgeable Warehouse Manager with extensive experience in warehouse operations, required for an established and forever expanding company.

To work proactively and collaboratively with the site management team to establish and maintain a system that promotes a culture of safe working practices across the organisation.

You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the warehouse operation in line with budget and service level requirements.

Developing a high performing team of colleagues to achieve operational excellence and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

You will provide direct management and leadership of the site Health and Safety Team and ensure the maintenance of company assets.

To ensure success you need to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment as well as being dedicated, competent and have strong leadership skills.


Main Duties include:


  • To ensure the efficient and the effective performance of the Warehouse Operation in compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Implementing operational policies and procedures.
  • To ensure the company complies with current health and safety legislation approved codes of practice and guidance in all activities.
  • To work proactively with managers to establish and maintain a system that promotes a culture of safe working practices across the organisation.
  • To provide direct management and leadership of the site Health and Safety team.
  • Ensuring effective and safe use of warehouse equipment.
  • Maintaining documentation and keeping accurate records of warehouse activities.
  • Develop plans for operational teams to ensure efficient ways of working are in place.
  • Day to day management of the warehouse operational teams and leading people development programmes.
  • Devising optimum shift patterns to suit business needs and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Management of the receipt, storage, and despatch of stock all in a timely manner.
  • Taking ownership of recruitment for warehouse roles ensuring team is running at full speed
  • Liaising with other sectors of the company ensuring communication is at the forefront throughout the business

Essential Requirements:


  • An experienced and ambitious Warehouse Manager with a background in wholesale distribution an advantage.
  • 5+ years warehouse management/operations experience.
  • Knowledge of all Health & Safety regulations and legal requirements.
  • Excellent understanding of warehouse management procedures.
  • Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls.
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of systems.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Outstanding leadership, organisational, multitasking, and problemsolving skills.
  • Available to work extended hours when required and flexible work patterns.
  • An excellent communicator at all levels and capable of presenting well to large groups.
  • A strong people Manager with a handson approach and a confident manner.
