Package Description

The PE Department has 14 members of Physical Education staff including the Head of Physical Education, two Assistant Heads of Department (one Junior School and one Senior School) and a Director of Sport.

In addition there are 3 full-time Sport coaches, 5 swimming instructors and multiple ad-hoc coaches who all contribute to the delivery of the core curriculum for which the Head of PE is responsible, and the Co-Curriculum for which the Director of Sport is responsible.

A PE & Sports administrator supports the department.

Ad-hoc Sport Coaches are line managed by the Director of Sport, who will agree working hours, and which teams are to be coached on a weekly basis.

We expect our ad-hoc coaches to run a minimum of one Co-curricular session per week, and contribute to the Saturday Sport Programme.

PE and Sport is a major part of life at RGC.

As well as our PE, Swimming, and S&C facilities at our Schoolhill campus in the city centre, we have a 39-acre PE and Sport ground at Countesswells to the west end of the city.

We are ambitious to invest in our PE and Sport facilities at both Schoolhill and Countesswells in the next few years.
