    Technician - Fabrication & Welding
    £26,093 - £28,540
    1.0 FTE / 35 Hours
    Based at Falkirk Campus
    Permanent

    The Department of STEM & Construction wish to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic Fabrication & Welding Technician to work with lecturing staff to support learners across SCQF levels 5 to 8. You will work across all areas of the Fabrication & Welding delivery in the Fabrication workshop.

    The Role

    Key duties in this post include:

    - Working safely and adhering to Health and Safety protocols
    - Preparing materials and solutions and setting up equipment or use in practical classes
    - Setting up and carrying out demonstrations in the workshop to students
    - Retrieving and clearing away equipment and materials
    - Monitoring and restocking consumables in the workshop
    - Stocktaking in particular with the annual stocktake
    - Ensuring all equipment is working correctly
    - Supporting the teaching staff and other technicians in the department

    Person

    You will ideally be educated to a minimum of HNC level in a related subject, although applicants with relevant industrial laboratory experience and relevant NC or SVQ will be considered. You will be an adaptable and innovative individual with a passion for. Ideally you will have experience working in a similar role.

    Travel between campuses will be required as part of this role and therefore a driving license is essential.
