    Overview:

    Andesite Partners are delighted to be appointed exclusively with a dynamic and innovative private equity-backed business specialising in Electric Vehicle (EV) charging solutions. As our client expands their UK operations and reach, they are now seeking a highly strategic and driven Commercial Director to spearhead their sales and marketing efforts. This role will be crucial in driving revenue growth and enhancing their brand presence in the competitive EV charging market across the UK.

    Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive commercial strategy that aligns with the company's overall objectives, focusing on maximising growth and market penetration.
    • Lead and oversee the sales and marketing departments, ensuring a cohesive and effective approach to market expansion and customer acquisition.
    • Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry leaders, to enhance business development opportunities.
    • Drive the sales pipeline and revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities and expanding existing customer accounts.
    • Oversee the marketing strategy, including brand positioning, digital marketing campaigns, public relations efforts, and market research activities.
    • Collaborate with the product development and operations teams to align the commercial strategy with product offerings and market needs.
    • Establish performance metrics for the sales and marketing teams and monitor performance to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
    • Provide leadership and mentorship to the sales and marketing teams, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
    • Prepare and manage the commercial budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and cost management.
    • Report on commercial activities and progress towards strategic goals to the CEO and board of directors.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
    • A minimum of 10 years' experience in a senior commercial role, ideally within the EV charging sector or related industries.
    • Proven track record of developing and executing successful commercial strategies that drive revenue growth and market share.
    • Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining profitable partnerships.
    • Deep understanding of market analytics, consumer trends, and marketing strategies.
    • Strategic thinker with a robust analytical skill set and problem-solving capabilities.
