- Providing strategic legal advice and counsel to the UK & Ireland leadership team on a broad range of legal matters, including contracts, commercial transactions, employment law, data privacy, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance.
- Leading and managing the UK & Ireland legal team, including setting priorities, delegating tasks, and ensuring professional development.
- Managing external legal relationships with law firms and other advisors, ensuring cost-effective and efficient legal representation.
- Proactively identifying and mitigating legal risks for the UK & Ireland business.
- Staying up-to-date on relevant UK & Ireland laws and regulations, ensuring the organisation remains compliant.
- Developing and implementing legal policies and procedures for the UK & Ireland region.
- Engaging with the Group legal function.
- Contributing to the development and execution of overall business strategy from a legal perspective. Hays Legal is exclusively retained by this organisation seeking to appoint a Head of Legal (UK & Ireland). This role would suit an experienced lawyer (10 years+) with an in-house or private practice background, to be the legal expert and trusted advisor to this organisation.
Reporting to the CEO UK&I, you will be the first point of contact for all legal matters, finding commercial solutions and having a results-orientated approach. You will head a small legal team.
