Exciting opportunities exist within our Strategic Finance team in London.

As a Senior Director, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining a strong market presence for the Bank, leading a corporate portfolio and originating both Corporate and LeveragedFinance lending opportunities.

You will be responsible for generating additional income and strong returns for the Bank, whilst delivering a superior customer experience at all times.

This role in a nutshell

  • Generating new business through sales capability on a targeted strategy of growth
  • Contributing to the Bank wide strategy for Strategic Finance
  • Being accountable for risk and compliance to identify signs of stress and risk with the aim of minimising the Bank's exposure to bad and doubtful debt
  • Being an influential and key member of the Strategic Finance team and acting according to the strategy and growth plan to optimise income and build a targeted portfolio through effective origination and execution of highquality lending opportunities
  • Being accountable for ensuring consistency across all activities adopting and utilising standard tools, processes and procedures
  • Structuring and recommending Corporate and Leveraged Finance lending proposals for credit decisioning
  • Accountability for building strong internal and external networks.
Key to the role will be the establishment and continued management of external professional relationships adopting a 2-way relationship model that produces quality referrals from professionals,Private Equity firms and other banks

  • Working proactively with the Senior Associate support to drive efficiencies in administration and servicing and ensure successful on boarding of new customers

To be brilliant you must have

  • Experience of working within a Corporate and Leveraged Finance team
  • Experience of originating and winning Corporate and Leveraged Finance lending opportunities
  • Significant experience in managing all aspects of a deal process from inception to completion including preparation of detailed and well researched credit papers, leading negotiations with Management Teams, Advisors and Funding Partners, the instructionand review of detailed Due Diligence reports, overseeing of complex legal processes and the management of all aspects of a deal completion process.
  • Business degree or significant financial services experience
  • Detailed and up to date knowledge of UK financial markets
  • Expert knowledge of banking products and services.
  • Up to date knowledge of financial analysis and modelling tools and techniques
  • Experience of working with club banks and alternative lenders such as Debt Funds to construct complex lending agreements
  • Knowledge of compiling complex Corporate and Leveraged Finance offerings including refinances, risk management products, debt offerings etc.
  • Suitability to work within the FCA Approved Persons framework

  • Relevant vocational financial services qualification e.g. Chartered Institute of Bankers, Chartered Accountant etc.;
  • In depth understanding of risk and compliance requirements in line with the role
