Role Details:


Salary:
£30k - £33k per annum


Hours of Work:9:00am - 5:30pm, usually Monday - Friday

Based:
Fulham, occasional remote working will be considered.


Line Manager:
Course Leader


Responsible For:
Student Runners where appropriate.

This role is suited to an individual with demonstrable experience in a similar field prior to being appointed.

They do not have any line management responsibilities, but will be expected to:


  • Delegate tasks to coordinators and support staff.
  • Interact with external stakeholders in a publicfacing context.
  • Analyse and interpret feedback to evolve and improve existing processes.
  • Work in line with agreed budgets and schedules.
  • Problemsolve.
  • Demonstrate management potential.

Requirements:


  • Be a point of contact for students for the delivery of pastoral support.
  • Serve as the
    Student Experience Officer, monitoring and reporting on the students' experience
  • Collating and capturing of student results.
  • Development and management of student timetables in alignment with programme specifications.
  • Coordinate and administer departmental; institutional; and interinstitutional committees and meetings.
  • Management of Module and Tutor feedback processes.
  • Management of learning resources on the Virtual Learning Environment platforms.
  • Distribution of departmental communication.
  • Managing work placements (where applicable).
  • Providing production support on student films (where applicable).
Essential Experience & Personal Qualities


Essential

  • Demonstrable experience of administration within a higher education institution.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to problemsolve, and to mediate issues arising between students and tutors.
  • Highly organized, with experience implementing "best practice" models in administering programs.
  • Demonstrable calmness under pressure and the ability to lead and inspire students to overcome academic, production and personal issues.
  • Ability to negotiate with industry stakeholders and partners.
  • Evidence of working to set budgets.
  • Experience working with word processing and VLE software systems.

Desirable:


  • Network based in the film and television industries.
  • Experience in film production with specific reference to providing production support.
