    Role:

    Infrastructure ArchitectLocation: 1 day per week in the office, Midlands HQ, commutable from West and East Midlands A newly created role, working for an iconic UK brand that have also been voted as a Top 40 UK Employer The organisation is supporting and driving a cloud-first, Microsoft aligned strategy utilising best of breed, industry recognised solutions across the business.

    The IT Infrastructure Architect will be responsible for designing solutions and roadmaps that encompass multiple technologies on large complex projects and products.


    Areas of responsibility:
    Planning – asses' ideas, scope and feasibility of proposed new and enhanced technologyRoadmaps – working with the Head of Architecture to design and own a fit-for-purpose high- and low-level solution roadmap for infrastructureCreation and maintenance of Architecture Standards, Patterns, and Building Blocks to drive solution re-use, delivery pace, quality assurance and cost efficiencyBuild and maintain relationships with existing suppliers and potential future suppliers to build awareness of technology opportunities, supplier roadmaps and industry best practicesBuild excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders Skills / experience: Infrastructure experience across multiple technologies such as Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, O365, Cisco SD-WAN/Wi-Fi/Switches/Routers/Firewalls, LinuxExperience of designing solutions using Cloud technologies especially Microsoft AzureKnowledge of Information Security including zero trustExperience working with outsourced resource to deliver / implement solutionsExcellent high and low level design communication skillsKeen interest in cloud technology and innovationsExperience of having direct responsibility for architecture/design activities on large/complex projectsPlease contact Delaney & Bourton for further information
