Disability Services Manager - Dudley, West Midlands, United Kingdom - We Manage Jobs(WMJobs)

    We Manage Jobs(WMJobs) background
    Description
We have implemented Family Safeguarding Practice across children's services.

It is a strengths-based, whole-family approach to child protection, bringing together individual multi-disciplinary teams comprising of professionals from children's and adult services to work intensively with families to reduce the number of children entering into care or becoming subject to child protection planning.

Family Safeguarding Practice moves the focus from monitoring compliance to engaging with families in a strengths-based way and producing meaningful change through Motivational Interviewing, a person-centred therapeutic way of practicing designed to harness and enhance readiness for change.

The new workbook recording system allows Social Workers to return to the grass roots of Social Work practice and focuses on building relationships with children, young people and their families to achieve better outcomes for the whole family.

The Family Safeguarding Service comprises of 7 teams and supports families with children under the age of 12.

So that we can demonstrate Dudley's commitment to diversity and inclusion and to improve bias in the recruitment process that could create barriers for candidates.
