    Job Description

    Reporting to - Battery Operations Manager - Electrification

    Purpose
    The Battery department is responsible for providing Battery/Module/Cell testing services, including performance, life cycle, durability, abuse, strip & rate.
    Role is to support all types of Battery testing (including Performance, life cycle, durability and abuse) along with all associated strip and rate activity.

    Responsibilities

  • Ensures safe working at all times in line with Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work
  • Supports logistics and setup of Battery performance and life cycle tests
  • Supports logistics and setup of Battery abuse tests
  • Supports logistics and execution of Battery strip and rate activities
  • Supports facility breakdown resolution
  • Supports facility maintenance activities
  • Supports facility calibration activities
  • Undertake analysis of results, including statements of conformity or opinions and interpretations
  • To report, review and provide authorisation of results
  • Act in accordance with the behaviours for UTAC colleagues at all times
  • Expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

    The Apprenticeship will provide you with a good understanding of automotive battery technology, test facilities and testing methods

    Qualifications

    Qualifications

  • 5 GCSE's (or equivalent) including English, Maths and Science at grades C or level 4 and above (required)
  • Experience

  • No experience required but an interest in automotive battery technology and engineering is essential
  • Skills & Personal Behaviours

  • Competent IT skills (mainly MS Office including Word & Excel)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Willingness to work and a keen desire to achieve academically
  • Team player and a mature approach to work
