**Do you have experience building and maintaining relationships with service users that have challenging behaviours and Learning Disabilities?

Are you looking for an organisation who prides themselves on their person centred care for service users and the the development of their staff?**We are interviewing now for a Registered Manager to join a well established and driven residential service in Barnsley that offers specialist care and support for adults with a wide variety of learning disabilities and challenging behaviours.

By focusing on the needs of the individual, the service will ensure that people receive the best person centred care and support enabling them to live a happy and fulfilling life.-
Salary - £34,000 with additional annual KPI bonuses based on performance and CQC audits.

Duration of the role
  • Full time 37.5 hours per week with flexibility for on call.

Responsibilities of Registered Manager:


  • Build and maintain relationships with the families of the users supported
  • Manage the day to day running of the service ensuring the best level of care and support for users in being given.
  • Take a lead on internal audits and really drive the service toward an
    "OUTSTANDING" CQC rating
  • Work with your staff team and use your experience to develop their skills where necessary.

Key Skills/Requirements:


  • Have experience managing larger teams
  • Driver
  • Have a Registered Managers Award plus Level 5 diploma or be willing to work towards.
  • Strong working knowledge of care standards and regulations.
  • Sound knowledge of working with people with Learning Disabilities, Autism and complex needs and experience of working in a similar setting
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral), including listening skills and the ability to communicate effectively with people
  • Enthusiasm, passion and determination to achieve Outstanding and deliver the highestquality personcentred care is essential.
  • Previous managerial experience in a care setting.
