    Project Engineer

    We are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our team at ERA Home Security. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of various projects within our organisation.

    What you'll be doing

    • In an evolving and growing engineering team you will report to the Engineering project Manager and be working in a dynamic, global and multi-project environment.
    • Support with the implementation of change projects that have been driven by either VAVE or Product failures
    • Complete accurate reporting of design failure modes on a broad range of product that can then be actioned
    • Work on technical requests and lead the core engineering investigation and root cause analysis to then report the findings back (with support from the quality department).
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement and development of engineering core best practise
    • Be operating in manufacturing and field service engineering environments with suppliers and customers on a frequent basis

    What we're looking for

    • Technical degree in an Accredited Engineering related subject and or Time served Apprenticeship
    • Six sigma and root cause analysis experience
    • At least 5 years' experience working in product development environment for intended production (tooling experience beneficial)
    • Experienced with Mechanical Product & Component analysis including Strong 2D&3D CAD skills
    • Strong kinematic mechanism knowledge and interest
    • A proactive, adaptable and approachable engineer
    • Excellent internal/external client facing communication skills
    • Comfortable with regular national travel and occasional international
    • Proven leadership capabilities demonstrated in prior role
