    Description
    Together we are creating truly impactful quantum computers. We are looking to hire an HDL Engineer within the electronics team to enable Quantum technologies.

    Passionate about helping create technologies which can change the world? Drive the HDL (Hardware Description Language) system design and realisation.

    Develop your experience in a broad range of electronics engineering subject areas.
    Maintain multidisciplinary collaboration with mechanical engineers, software engineers, and physicists, working towards a common goal.
    Play a key role in building control systems for quantum computers.
    Maintain UQs' position of using state-of-the-art electronics solutions.
    Help in the planning and scheduling of projects, reporting progress and issues.
    Engage with project planning activities, risk management and scheduling requirements.
    Help with fast turn-around proof of concepts and feasibility discussions.
    Develop a thorough understanding of the firmware and software used to control quantum computers.
    Excellent knowledge of designing, developing and testing digital logic circuits and systems using hardware description language (HDL) tools.

    # Good knowledge of electronics circuit theory, including programming and architecture design skills.

    # Familiarity with PCB schematic and layout using CAD tools, good manufacturing process knowledge and excellent verification/debugging skills using electronics test equipment.

    Minimum 8 years experience in high-performance Electronics Design including Digital, Analog and Embedded.
    Experience with FPGAs and embedded software engineering for real-time systems.
    Experience working with suppliers and contractors.
    1 BEng/BSc Degree in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
    RF engineering, Research, Metrology or instrumentation.

    Understanding of signal integrity, high-speed digital and EMC.
    Experience with C and/or scripting languages e.g. Python and Matlab.
    Team and/or project management experience.
