Senior Credit Controller
Cambridgeshire
£35,000 pa
Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week, core business hours.
Active Recruiters are pleased to be working with a highly reputable, UK based, industry leading retailer.

If you are an experienced Head of Credit/Senior Credit Controller and looking for a new opportunity, look no further You will be responsible for all credit, debt recovery and associated duties for the business.

You will report directly to the Financial Controllerwhilst leading, by example, a small team.

Responsibilities Include (But not limited too):

  • Liaising with other departments and resolving customer queries to facilitate payments of debt.
  • Managing outstanding sales balances failing and following up with customers before payments are overdue to ensure they are received.
  • Weekly/Monthly Board reports.
  • Potential problems identified.
  • Monthly statements run and issued to customers.
  • Analysing payment patterns to prevent future default.
  • Debt management letter cycles.
  • Negotiating payment plans following authority guidelines and limits.
  • Monitoring payment plans.
  • Initiating legal processes, when required.
  • Registering claims and following recovery processes.
  • Setting and Monitoring Credit Limits.
  • Communicating with external debt collection and recovery agents.
  • Attending client meetings to collect debts as required.
  • Accurate record handling with regular reports.
  • Implement and identify process improvements.
  • Providing phone cover, customer service is a priority

You Must Have:

  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Ability to work in an orderly and disciplined manner.
  • Adaptable to utilise multiple computer systems.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Recent experience and knowledge within credit control procedures and requirements.
  • Ability to prioritise workload in a highpressure environment
  • Teamwork
  • Flexible to adjust to shifting priorities and business needs.
  • Confidence with problem solving and solutions.
  • Proficient in Excel/Word/Sage 50.
  • Previous experience necessary.
