    Title: Occupational Therapist

    Location: Greater Manchester

    Salary: £28,000 – 38,000 (depending on experience)

    Hours: 37.5

    Merco Medical have partnered with a one of the UK's leading providers of behavioural care and specialist support services in their search for top talent. We have an exciting new opportunity for a permanentOccupational Therapist based in the Manchester Area.

    Position Overview:

    We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Occupational Therapist to join our multi-disciplinary team working across our adult inpatient services.

    The Occupational Therapist will work with client groups both one to one and in a group setting and should have a minimum of one years experience.

    You will provide assistance to professional and clinical staff with the planning, implementation and evaluation of therapeutic activities in order to improve mental, emotional well-being and quality of life for our patients.

    Suitable applicants should have a minimum of one year's experience gained within a related clinical or therapeutic environment.

    It is desirable that the post-holder will have experience managing a caseload of service users with complex needs.

    • Providing assistance and consultation to the lead consultant regarding the therapeutic programmes on the unit
    • Engage with patients in helpful, therapeutic and meaningful activities.
    • Co-ordinate and manage individual treatment plans for occupational therapy and activities
    • Provide 1:1 OT assessment and treatment
    • Develop close working relationships with professional and clinical colleagues ensuring clinical practice is in line policy and procedure at all times, complying with statutory regulations and quality standards.
    • Providing high level communication skills and possessing exceptional organisational skills.

    Key Requirements:

    • Minimum of one years experience of delivering Occupational Therapy strategy in a professional environment – clinical and / or therapeutic
    • Experience of managing a caseload of patients with complex needs
    • First rate interpersonal skills
    • Highly organised and efficient
    • · Ability to contribute to the ongoing development of the OT service
    • BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy
    • RCOT membership
    • HCPC registration
