Job overview
We require a Data Clerk to work in the Sterile Services Department to assist in the provision, maintenance and supply of Sterile Services throughout the Trust by means of accurate data entry, filing and record keeping, maintenance of both manual and computer files and clerical support to the Sterile Services Management Team.
To communicate effectively with colleagues and co-workers by providing and exchanging routine information and other trust departments and external agencies by dealing with routine telephone enquiries.
To maintain accurate processing records to enable the tracking and traceability of surgical instruments to individual patients in line with Quality Management Systems, National and European Standards.
Flexible working hours to enable the department to meet the clinical obligations of the Trust for patient care
Main duties of the job
We are looking for someone with good communication skills and experience of data input. You should have the ability to work independently and as part of the team, depending on the needs of the situation.
You should be able to work under pressure effectively as this is a busy department.
You should have a good working knowledge of computers and be able to manage your own time and prioritize your workload.
A knowledge of Sterile Services would be advantageous
