About the role:

Lycetts are looking to recruit an Experienced Commercial & Corporate Account Handler, based at their Godalming Office.

An experienced Commercial & Corporate Account Handler to provide dedicated support to a small but successful team. Experience in the leisure sector would be an advantage but is not essential. General commercial/corporate handling and a good depth of knowledge and experience are essential. It is suitable for those who are used to managing their own time and prioritizing their workload.

The role includes responsibility for assisting with the management of existing clients' insurance business. Full training in all aspects of the job will be provided.


Key responsibilities
***:

  • To contact clients and prepare renewal documentation prior to renewal.
  • To answer incoming new business enquiries and prepare new business submissions and quotations.
  • To negotiate alternative quotes prior to renewal dates where appropriate.
  • To deal with all documentation, invoices, credit notes, etc. ensuring a smooth and trouble free renewal/new business process for the client.
  • To act in line with client requests and deliver beyond expectations.
  • To comply with file management, compliance procedures and FCA guidelines, maintaining clear records up to date at all times.
  • To foster good relations with insurance companies.

Knowledge, skills and experience
***:

  • A proactive, organised approach to all activities.
  • Confident and clear communication skills both written and oral.
  • Good negotiation skills and the ability to build relationships with both clients and insurers/underwriters.
  • Good organisational ability.
  • Well presented, hardworking, proactive team player with the ability to act on their own initiative.
  • Ability to work solo and as part of a wider team.

Advantageous Attributes:


  • Knowledge of Word/Excel
  • Knowledge of Open GI
  • Experience in risk submission and creating risk registers etc.
