    About the Role

    The Roku Voice Service team is looking for a senior software engineer machine with experience building machine learning systems in one or more of the following areas: artificial intelligence, natural language understanding, machine learning, conversational systems and building large scale production systems.

    What you'll be doing

  • Design and developing machine learning driven cloud systems with high availability and high-performance
  • Orchestrate and serve machine learning pipelines to handles voice queries, speech recognition, natural language understanding, search, and dialog systems at scale
  • You will be working across teams, pulling in the best talent from the organization to achieve goals
  • You will be contributing new ideas and evaluating multiple solutions with your peers before settling down on specific solutions
  • You are a fast learner and always willing to learn new technologies
  • You have an interest in voice-powered technologies and products
  • We're excited if you have

  • BS. Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Experience working with cloud technologies. Have a good working knowledge of AWS or experience using Kubernetes
  • Experience in building and scaling backend services
  • Experience with AI technologies such as machine learning/deep learning, LLM, and dialog manager
  • Experience with Machine LearningOps tools such as airflow, MLflow, or KubeFlow
  • Experience using SQL to fetch and analyse data from big data platforms
  • Experience in NodeJS, GoLang, and Python is a plus
  • Proficient in Linux, Docker, and related tools
  • A stickler for automation, unit testing, regression testing, load testing and anything that improves the quality of the code
