    Globe-Trotter is a truly global business trading in more than 80 countries, with significant brand awareness in Japan, Europe and the USA and an increasing footprint in the GCC, China and South East Asia.

    With exciting growth plans we are looking for a Retail Director with extensive luxury sector knowledge to oversee our retail locations, franchises and partners stores around the world.

    The Retail Director will lead the overall global retail strategy, drive growth, lead team performance and development and ensure an exceptional customer experience.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute a global strategic retail plan aligned with Globe-Trotters' overall vision and objectives.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to optimise retail operations and bring new commercial ideas to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
    • Deliver inspirational, well managed and cost-effective new store openings.
    • Be an ambassador of the Globe-Trotter brand, cultivating relationships with internal and external partners to build brand awareness.
    • Work with our Marketing team to align on product launches within the stores.
    • Lead on visual merchandising execution for all stores, ensuring consistency to highlight our history, product strengths and key features to customers.
    • Lead the coordination of all store events and promotional activities in partnership with our marketing team.
    • Develop, coach, and lead the team to help achieve a high-performing culture, driving excellence from the team.
    • Take a proactive approach to H&S management to ensure a well-maintained and safe environment in stores.
    • Work closely with the senior management team to ensure P&L productivity plans, profitability targets are achieved.
    • Provide trade reports, feedback and process improvement to the retail managers and senior management team.
    • Implementing and developing an Omnichannel strategy to maximise the customer engagement and sales.

    Requirements of the role

    • A strong understanding of Luxury retail and sales experience is essential - with a minimum of 6 years' experience within a senior role in a global luxury brand.
    • A proven track record of delivering sales and profit growth, with the ability to leverage data to drive insights and make informed business decisions.
    • You will have knowledge and successful experience of working in international markets, with a deep understanding of managing across diverse, multi-cultural markets.
    • You will demonstrate a progressive leadership career in the retail sector, and possess a strong understanding of best practice, market trends and consumer behaviour.
    • A proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans and initiatives, with high level organisational skills and the ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to be persuasive, engaging and motivating with others in a consistent manner.
    • You will demonstrate strong leadership experience, people development skills with the ability to motivate, inspire, coach and develop a team.
    • Ability to work under pressure and across all levels of seniority.
    • Excellent analytical and organisational skills, able to manage multiple responsibilities and projects.
    • A problem solver with a can-do attitude and hands on approach.
    • Ability to work with limited budgets and resources, maximising the outcome of them.

    Reporting to: Managing Director and CEO

    Location: Based in London with travel between our stores and the factory. International travel will be required.
