    Description

    The Requirements Engineer plays a crucial role in defining, managing, and validating system-level requirements for high voltage battery pack systems within the automotive industry.

    Reporting to the Systems Engineering Manager, this role is responsible for eliciting stakeholder needs, translating them into clear and comprehensive requirements, and ensuring alignment with overall project objectives.

    By leveraging expertise in requirements management methodologies, systems engineering principles, and cross-functional collaboration, the Requirements Engineer contributes to the successful development of safe, reliable, and high-performance electric vehicle solutions.


    Document and maintain clear, complete, and traceable system requirements using appropriate tools and methodologies, ensuring alignment with project objectives and stakeholder needs.


    Requirements Analysis:
    Analyse and prioritise system requirements, identifying dependencies, conflicts, and ambiguities to facilitate effective decision-making and requirement refinement.

    Change Management:

    Manage changes to system requirements throughout the product development lifecycle, assessing impacts, obtaining approvals, and maintaining traceability to ensure configuration control and alignment with project scope.

    Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with engineering, design, testing, and quality teams to ensure that system requirements are effectively integrated into the overall product development process.


    Risk Management:

    Identify and mitigate risks associated with system requirements, including potential scope creep, conflicting priorities, and evolving stakeholder needs, to maintain project schedule and budget.

    Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance requirements engineering processes, tools, and methodologies, identifying opportunities for optimization and skills development.

    Bachelor's degree or higher in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
    Proven experience in requirements engineering, systems engineering, or related roles within the automotive industry.
    Experience with requirements elicitation, documentation, analysis, validation, and change management processes.
