The Guardian is looking to expand its pool of temporary administrators, known as hotdeskers, to provide holiday, sickness and vacancy cover for our editorial administration staff.

Hotdeskers work across all our teams from news to sport or features and cover can be required over 7 days a week including Bank Holidays.

Assignments can vary in length from a day to a few months and are sometimes sporadic in the offering.

Administration hotdesking at GNM will suit applicants looking for flexible shifts and who have some previous administration experience.

We will be looking for confident self-starters with excellent communication skills who can demonstrate that they are efficient, organised and able to prioritise workloads in a rapidly changing environment.

We'll also be looking for experience that shows close attention to detail and a proactive approach to routine tasks.
