    As a Cyber Security Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the security and integrity of our organisation's digital assets. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining security measures to protect our systems, networks, and data from cyber threats. This role requires a deep understanding of cybersecurity best practices, strong analytical skills, and the ability to stay ahead of emerging threats in a rapidly evolving landscape.

    This role will involve:

    • Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies, policies, and procedures to mitigate risks and safeguard sensitive information.
    • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation measures.
    • Monitor security systems for anomalies and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security controls into IT infrastructure and applications.
    • Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies, and provide guidance on risk mitigation strategies.
    • Provide training and awareness programs to educate employees about cybersecurity best practices.
    To be considered for the role you must have:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
    • Proven experience working in a cybersecurity role, with a strong understanding of security principles and practices.
    • Hands-on experience with security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus software, and SIEM solutions.
    • Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Background in the Big 4 (Preferred)
