    Are you ready to step up into a Regional Sales Manager role? Or looking for a role that challenges you further?

    I am currently looking for a southern based regional sales manager to look after circa 3/4 members of the sales team and drive the company forward.

    Role summary

    This is an exciting new Hybrid Regional Manager role, which would be ideal for someone who thrives in managing a small team but also has the skills required to grow and develop accounts and customer relationship in a hands-on fashion.

    This will be achieved through:

    • Providing first line management to the team members allocated and be fully responsible for all related activities including HR, coaching, motivating and development.
    • Liaise effectively with your team and wider support staff to ensure implementation of defined strategies developed with the purpose of increasing market share and revenue generation.
    • Developing your own key account opportunities & relationships.
    • Successfully agreeing product evaluations in targeted NHS and private sector accounts.
    • Overseeing these evaluations and supporting the team to achieve maximum product adoption.
    • Support the team in managing all regional accounts to maximise sales and drive sales growth account by account.

    Role responsibilities

    A summary of key areas of responsibility is as follows:

    • Developing, coaching and managing a regional sales team.
    • Responsible for knowledge of all local contracts and tenders.
    • Develop a strong network of key stakeholders including KOLs.
    • Be accountable for the results for you and the team, drive sales in line with and ahead of sales expectations and targets.
    • Responsible for sales and profit targets in line with and ahead of sales expectations; completing monthly forecasting and quarterly business reviews.
    • Identify pipeline accounts that are suitable targets for evaluation and engaging with stake holders to start evaluations.
    • Develop and maintain expert understanding of the product range and competitors to support your team, evaluation activity and ongoing sales opportunity.
    • Support your team in becoming recognised as wound closure experts in the geography and be a key resource for customers.

    Specific Activities

    • Implement and driving the Sales Process
    • Setting personal & team targets and goals whilst holding self-accountable for delivery.
    • Utilise resources available and exploits data/information to access changing market conditions whilst managing short and longer-term customer needs.
    • Implement the commercial strategy in the region through collaboration with the management team.
    • Develop personal understanding of market dynamics, challenges and feedback relevant information to the management teams and marketing department.
    • Collaborate with all internal departments and team members to ensure a high level of customer service to clients, proactively feeding back opportunities for improvement.
    • Invest time in developing the highest level of competent in product and procedure knowledge.
    • Seek out new business development opportunities.
    • Support team to complete all territory and call planning activities in line with management expectations.
    • Report all sales activity utilising the business tools and systems provided.

    Skills and experience required.

    You'll have:

    • Team management experience
    • Proven track record in the medical device market
    • Sales experience introducing and selling products to consultants and associate theatre staff.
    • Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills.
    • Comprehensive understanding of the product portfolio
    • Thorough understanding of secondary care
    • Dynamic and driven with a real interest in developing a career in medical sales.
    • Desire to work in a target driven environment.
    • Confident, articulate and a strong relationship builder.
    • Qualified to degree level (preferably in a business-related subject)
    • Advanced Microsoft skills – Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
    • ·A full UK driving licence.
    • Wound Closure market experience and competition knowledge
    • Experience working in the operating theatre environment.
    • Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
