Safety Advisor
to join the business at our Crewe campus working in a hybrid capacity.

The Health & Safety Advisor will provide both competent and professional Health and Safety (H&S) services and advice which are aligned with business needs to assigned areas of the business.

This includes enabling the building of a strong and proactive Health and Safety culture throughout the organisation, facilitating continuous improvement and cultural change.

The Occupational Health and Safety department at Bentley Motors has 2 distinct sub-functions-Occupational Health and Health and Safety. The Health and Safety department covers the whole of the Bentley business, based primarily in Crewe.

The team comprises the Head of Occupational Health and Safety, 2 Senior Safety Advisors, 2 Safety Advisors (one of which is this role) and a Health and Safety Apprentice.

The team work flexibly (Hybrid working) and there will be some requirement for travel around the UK and Europe to visit suppliers.

Reporting to the Head of Occupational Health & Safety, your duties will include:
Provide support in the development and delivery of H&S related training
Review/approve (using H&S risk based criteria) requests for capital expenditure and new equipment providing advice and guidance
Monitor H&S performance across the assigned areas and undertake audit/inspection/review activities
Regularly interact with our Union appointed Safety reps

We are a small close-knit team, part of the HR team, who have a passion for Health and Safety.

This is an exciting time with the transition to electric vehicles being a priority for Bentley Motors and the Safety team is a fundamental part of this.

Experience of training delivery
Knowledge of H&S risk mitigation and control strategies and ISO 45001
Knowledge of incident investigation techniques and data analysis
NEBOSH National General Certificate (or equivalent)- Preferred
NEBOSH Diploma / degree - Desirable but not essential
