Robertson Bell are supporting a well-known, commercially driven, public sector organisation to recruit an interim Finance Change Lead on an initial six-month contract, with a high likelihood of extension.

Following the appointment of a new Finance Director, an agenda for change has been set and our client require an experienced interim professional to deliver the following scope of work:

  • Undertake a full review of the finance system and processes, with a particular focus on financial management and reporting, working closely with key stakeholders inside and outside of finance to identify limitations and areas of improvement.
  • Work with the same set of stakeholders to map new processes and design improved reports to increase efficiency and legibility of financial information.
  • Implement and embed improved processes and reporting, providing support and training to stakeholders throughout.
  • Automate processes where possible and increase the usage of BI tools, moving away from Excel as the primary reporting and data platform.
  • Significant finance change experience, encompassing both systems and processes, and the capability to take a handson approach to work while also being independent in assessment, and creation of solutions.
  • Broad finance knowledge, including best practice across financial accounts, management, and transactions.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders at varying levels of seniority and finance knowledge.
  • Advanced data management and MS Excel skills.
Ideally, you will have had experience with Business Intelligence tools and Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Business Central).

It is expected that this contract will fall Outside IR35.
