Financial and Commercial Planning Manager
Based in Luton, Bedfordshire, our client is looking for a qualified accountant to join their team as Financial and Commercial Planning Manager on a permanent basis, working a hybrid role with 2 days working from home per week.
This job would suit an ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant with strong commercial acumen to help strengthen the financial commercial planning activities and to improve analysis of business performance, the role is to report on the UK factory whilst reportingin to the Head office in mainland Europe.
This company is a manufacturer with factories across Europe, with a great track record in an industry that adds significant value to its customers.
The company continues to go from strength to strength and with year-end and a capital investment programmehappening at the same time, an extra pair of hands is needed to help with key finance deliverables.
The successful individual will be an ACCA / CIMA / ACA qualified accountant with strong business partnering experience from a similar organisation.
Experience working with multiple currencies, within a FMCG or manufacturing industry is desirable. Working knowledge of SAP and BI is essential.
Duties will include:
- Work closely with the head of finance to deliver month end, 12 months forecast and annual budget, using financial budgeting software
- Drive business value by preparation of relevant, timely financial information to equip the leadership and commercial teams with the information required to make sound financial decisions.
- Preparing and carrying out monthly financial reporting and financial statement analysis. Managing 34 day monthend financial close process activities
- Develop sound financial assessments of all company contracts (suppliers and customers) to ensure financial risks are properly recognised and addressed
- Perform both contract and customer profitability analysis, especially on new business pipeline
- Foster new business growth, by ensuring a sound balance of risk and reward.
- Analyse recommended pricing strategies, based on sales & marketing team insights, to drive price alignment across customers and trade channels maximising gross and net profit
- Work closely with the purchasing manager to manage the raw material process and ensure all required materials for in house manufacturing are available as needed based on the agreed manufacturing plan
