Description
This is a role for a Full Time Night Residential Child Care Worker to work within a residential children's home.
We are looking for people who believe they have the qualities and skills needed to support our children to maintain stability.
This is a new and exciting opportunity as Manchester City Council are opening a new Children's home for two young people aged 11-17 years.
We are looking for people who believe they have the qualities and skills needed to support our children who are emotionally challenging and have complex needs.
You will need to be resilient and be able to establish and maintain relationships with young people, to challenge their existing patterns of behaviour.
You will help create a culture and ethos within the home in which the needs of the young people are paramount, and they are encouraged to develop, mature and grow.
In addition, you will work proactively with other professionals across multi agencies and with parents to assess the young people's needs and ensure positive outcomes.
Good standard of verbal and written communication and ICT is needed. The team will work proactively in maintaining a high level of care for the young people.The team are consistent in their approach whilst working together in order to provide the best possible care to the young people they work with.
Manchester City Council has a high aspirations for the young people who live in our homes.
