Who are we & what do we do?
The Global Learning Academy (GLA) is our central learning function.

We're made up of diverse teams that design and deliver training to airport operations teams, cabin and flight crew, colleagues in Engineering and our Global Engagement Centres, as well as head office specialists and our Apprenticeships and Graduate programmes.

Our colleagues are at the heart of everything we do so we're passionate about providing the training needed to be at their best, because every colleague matters.

We are looking for a Learning Design Executive to join the GLA's central Learning Design & Colleague Development team.

We are a creative team of design experts responsible for the design, development and implementation of learning experiences across the airline.

This is a key moment to join our high-performing team as we continue to build A Better BA.


How you will be contributing?


You'll be accountable for leading the end-to-end creation of impactful, engaging and efficient learning solutions for colleagues integral to the success of our operation.

Your role will include leading the design process from identifying the learning needs, designing and developing the learning solution, through to implementation and evaluation.

As a highly collaborative team member with a growth mindset, you will work with the wider team of Business Partners and Digital Learning Designers to develop long lasting, creative learning experiences that drive efficiency and support our people to thrive in their roles.

We want to provide the best possible learning experience for all colleagues.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • A passion for learning and an understanding of what motivates people to learn
  • Ability to manage and influence stakeholders at all levels with confidence
  • Ability to identify learning needs, provide targeted relevant recommendations to create change and develop those into effective and engaging learning experiences
  • Experience of developing diverse blended learning solutions
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines
  • Aspirations for continuous development
