Job Requirements of this Teaching Assistant job in Burton-on-Trent
Assist in managing and supporting students with challenging behaviour in a PRU (Pupil Referral Unit) school setting
Implement behaviour management strategies in collaboration with the teaching staff.
Provide one-to-one support and small group interventions to address individual student needs.
Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour incidents.
Support students in accessing the curriculum and achieving their educational goals.
Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.
Qualifications or Certificates:
Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Teaching Assistance or equivalent.
Relevant certificates or training in behaviour management and safeguarding.
Experience:
Proven experience working with challenging behaviour within a school environment or similar setting.
Experience working with secondary-age students.
Familiarity with behaviour management techniques and strategies.
Ability to build positive relationships with students and provide appropriate support and guidance.
Understanding of the challenges faced by students attending a PRU school.
Age Group:
Secondary-age students (typically 11-16 years old).
