Upon-Tyne- Posted 2 hours agoOur client based in Newcastle are looking for experienced Paint Plant Operatives to join their team on a temp to perm basis.

The aim of this role is to support the Paint Plant team in continually seeking ways to improve safety and quality, to increase productivity and reduce cost in manufacture process of parts whilst meeting the requirement of on time, in full, in cost.


The role responsibilites:


  • Adhering to all aspects of Health and Safety across the site.
  • Identifying any areas of risk within the plant which should be dealt with in line with current procedures.
  • To be present punctually at the start of shift and work as effectively as possible.
  • Responsible for the processing of parts that meet the quality standard and where nonconformances arise, ensure these are reported and highlighted immediately.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all SOP's, Quality Plans and Work Instructions are adhered to and all necessary documentation completed in a timely manner.
  • Deal with any issues as they arise and seek immediate advice from the Supervisor/Team Leader when necessary.
  • Ensure all aspects of company policy and procedure are fully adhered.
  • Support the Supervisor/Team Leader with ensuring the required independent quality inspections are carried out.
  • Support the Supervisor/Team Leader in driving continuous improvement initiatives in the bay.
  • Attend and contribute to morning briefs as required.
  • Undertake alternative valueadded activities for periods of nonproductive work.
  • Ensure the area meets and exceeds the company standards on 5s.
  • Promote a safe working environment by directly challenging or reporting unsafe or environmentally damaging practices and hazardous working conditions.
  • Ensure you comply with company Health, Safety and Environmental Policy.

Essential skills and qualifications:


  • Recognised relevant qualification where applicable.
  • Recognised NVQ.
  • Ability to read and interpret information required to carry out the daily role in processing parts.
  • Demonstrate a basic level and understanding of the planning and organisation of the Paint Plant.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Selfmotivated

Working hours:

Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 5:15pm
