Head of Technical Operations and Resources

Circa £40k per annum

Working hours: 34 hours over 4 consecutive days per week

Flexibility to work from home


CloudScope are working with a leading UK mental & physical health charity specifically helping people suffering affected by eating disorders.

This charity has been helping people with these condition for nearly 50 years and now has over 200 full time employees.

This role is a managerial position within the charity which involves both strategical and man management duties as well as an overall knowledge of Information systems:

  • Develop, lead and manage the Systems and Resources department in line with our values and management principles, producing strategies and plans, ensuring delivery of the team objectives and being accountable for the relevant budgets and optimum utilisationof resources.
  • Ensure that lower level IT support and tasks are performed effectively inhouse, including by ensuring that staff are trained appropriately.
  • Ensure database and CRM solutions are operating effectively and efficiently with appropriate automation, delivering optimally against the needs of all system users.
  • Work with colleagues across Beat and the Facilities and Admin team to ensure Beat has appropriate office facilities, resources and admin support to meet organisational objectives
  • Manage vendor selection and delivery for a range of technical projects including CRM procurement
  • Report regularly to the Executive on data performance, proposed improvements and any issues or breaches
  • Ensure Beat is mitigating as far as possible against cyber threats.
  • Oversee the organisational risk register with regular updates and reports to the Finance and Risk Committee
  • Ensure own behaviour is fully supportive of an inclusive culture in relation to all colleagues and other stakeholders.
  • Experience of leadership and management in a similar role ideally obtained in the charity sector

  • Ability to lead and operate effectively in a highly cohesive, high performing team based on the principles of trust, mutual respect and empowerment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical issues and solutions to nontechnical colleagues
  • Strong organisational and project management skills
  • Up to date knowledge on data protection legislation and best practice
  • Strong technical knowledge of IT systems and databases
  • Good knowledge of monitoring and evaluation techniques and approaches
