    (This position is based in Trepp's London office which operates in a hybrid work schedule)

    We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Structured Finance QA Analyst with a focus on Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs) to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will play a vital part in upholding the accuracy and integrity of various CLO deal models and monthly trustee reporting, which serve as fundamental inputs for Trepp's analytics platforms. Your role will be within the TreppCLO data team, reporting to the Head of QA and interfacing directly with our data, technology and product teams. Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough reviews, identifying discrepancies, and implementing corrective measures to maintain data quality standards.

    You will need a proficient understanding of Excel and will develop familiarity with SQL or AWS. This is crucial as you'll be leveraging data analytics to drive new product screens/solutions and handling frequent data queries related to models, analytics, and associated communication. It should be stressed that this is not an IT role. It is a role designed for those proficient with data and have experience with quality with a focus on CLO.

    Core Responsibilities:

    • Data Integrity: Identify and rectify discrepancies in data sets to uphold data integrity. Develop and maintain data validation rules and processes to ensure accuracy.
    • Issue Tracking: Utilize tools like JIRA and databases such as MYSQL/Oracle to track identified issues and resolutions.
    • Ownership & Improvement: Take charge of maintaining CLO-related data initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
    • Data Evaluation: Analyze TreppCLO data to discern patterns and trends, implementing broad fixes where necessary.
    • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to data quality.

    Additional Responsibilities:

    • Ad Hoc Projects: Assist in ad hoc projects related to providing financial data to clients.
    • Exposure & Support: Gain exposure to other asset classes in the future, supporting the Head QA in creating and enhancing solutions/research content in those areas.
    • Data Analytics & Enhancements: Manage internal and external requests for data analytics and model outputs, including product enhancements.
    • Functional Enhancements: Interact with Trepp systems and technology teams to specify functional enhancements, followed by quality assurance testing.

    Qualifications and experience:

    Required:

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
    • Working knowledge of SQL or AWS
    • Strong analytical and modeling skills, particularly in dealing with complex financial concepts and data.
    • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across teams and with clients.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Experience in quality assurance or data analysis within the finance industry preferred.
    • Ability to quickly grasp new processes and work effectively within a team.

    Useful:

    • Financial, economic, or business-related degree, equivalent work experience will be considered
    • Knowledge of and/or experience in structured finance specifically CLOs
    • Experience with Python, Tableau or similar languages

    Workplace Policy:

    NYC, Dallas, and London office-based positions: Trepp's offices follows a 3-2 hybrid-working policy with the expectation of in-office work on Tuesday-Thursday and the option to work from home on Monday and Friday.
