Due to staff development, an exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the expanding (and award-winning) Live Well Wakefield team.
You'll be part of a community-based social prescribing and self-management service which supports adults aged 18+ to improve their health, wellbeing and independence.
What does a day look like for a Service Support Officer? You'll:
- Take and process referrals and enquiries
- Act as principal point of contact / liaison for users of the service, members of the public and other professionals
- Provide low level triaging and client signposting face to face, over the phone and online
- Support the service, including the team and managers, with fundamental administration and office tasks, wellbeing initiatives, and offering suggestions to ensure highquality service delivery
- Work as part of a Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector / NHS partnership which provides a unique opportunity to develop your knowledge and understanding of both sectors
What are we looking for in our new Service Support Officer?
- The successful applicant will have experience of working in a team, will have good computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Packages, be able to work under their own initiative and will have previously worked in an environment dealing with members of the public.
- Previous experience of working in a health or social care setting and use of SystmOne would be advantageous.
- You will work closely with clients, GPs, community anchors, housing associations and other health and social care professionals across the Wakefield District and therefore will be required to be a confident and natural communicator with excellent organisational skills to coordinate the multiple aspects of this job role.
