£68,000 per annum

East London

Fixed Term Contract - 12 months

Option to extend to 24 months

We have travelled a long way in the past few years and have built a strong track record in improving our performance and delivering quality services toour residents and communities.? This was a major factor in the recent decision of our sole shareholder (the London Borough of Tower Hamlets) to extend our management agreement by a further eight years from July 2020.

Following this decision, we have shaped a new business plan - Create Great - to give us focus over the coming years.


We are looking for a Contract Project Manager to join our well established, busy and dynamic Property Services team that sits within the Asset Management Directorate.


You will help the organisation to deliver our vision of thriving, safe, and sustainable neighbourhoods where residents can be proud of their homes, respect one another, and realise their potential.


The post-holder should have extensive experience in in delivering large capital programs and will manage a multi-disciplinary technical and project management team.

They also should be competent in design, scoping and delivery of large complex capital programsand will manage a multi-disciplinary technical team up to RIBA 3.

Have great communication skills working with stakeholders and can perform with confidence to achieve best practices.

The role will include delivering high-profile projects, managing, and overseeingdesign and feasibility of planned projects up to tender stage and in some cases delivery of building services' projects to the value of circa £5 million.


Reporting to the Programme Delivery Manager, you will have / be:

  • Substantial experience of operating at project management level in social housing and/or related sectors, with a track record in the feasibility, design, scoping of complex projects within time, cost, and quality thresholds.
  • Knowledge of contract administration and the ability to manage financially complex contracts ensuring value for money, and lead on the management of contractors and consultants.
  • Knowledge and experience in performance management of contractors/ consultants with a proven track record of improving performance and meeting KPI targets
  • Excellent understanding of building regulations
  • RICS qualified wouldbe advantageous
  • Knowledge and experience of leasehold statutory consultation
  • Knowledge of and experience in ensuring compliance to applicable Health and Safety standards

You will have access to our onsite location and Office to New Town Hall in Whitechapel.
