    Manufacturing Support EngineerPermanent£35,000 - £40,000 + Bonus + 28 holidays (pro rata) + bank holidaysMonday to Thursday (Days - 37 hours)UlverstonOur client is a global leader in Defence and Aerospace manufacturing. An opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Support Engineer to join the Ceramics Development team. The role offers excellent progression and development into advanced levels of engineering.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Learn the ceramics theory and apply it in the manufacturing field.
    • Learn to operate different production / testing equipment as part of the manufacturing/test process of the products.
    • Document test, processes and present reports for products as required using SharePoint documentation system.
    • Carry out qualification procedures for products / materials guided by the production engineering department.
    • A part of the production engineering team, the post holder will guarantee efficiency, productivity, quality, and profitability and enable products to be produced at the rate needed to meet customer demand.
    • Establish productive, dynamic, working relationships with the Engineering and Manufacturing departments, maintaining regular associations through meetings and communications to discuss any issues.
    • Be aware of Data that can lead to an opportunity for improvement – this can include non-conformance, yield/scrap data, improvements to documentation/drawings, training, efficiency of process equipment
    QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
    • Ideally Degree/HND qualified.
    • Experienced within an Manufacturing Environment in a similar job role.
    • Skilled driving results and improvements.
    • Excellent problem solving skills.
    • Knowledge of ERP systems would be beneficial.
