    RINA is currently recruiting for a Principal Product Regulatory Compliance Consultant to join its office in Leatherhead within the Energy Engineering Solutions Division.

    Job Overview

    RINA is a global leader in providing compliance solutions in the Energy Business Unit. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Principal Consultant to join our expanding Product Regulatory Compliance Team. As a key player, you'll contribute to our projects spanning the UK, EU, the US, and beyond, with a primary focus on electrical and electronic equipment sectors. Focus on providing various clients with engineering advice and technical solutions on different projects

    Responsibilities


    • Drive individual technical project delivery, from writing proposals to managing projects within set budgets and timelines.

    • Undertake detailed evidence-based research to influence product supply policy development for official bodies globally.

    • Actively engage in Business Development and Marketing activities, fostering client relationships, and promoting our service offerings through various channels.

    • Your Skills and Qualifications:

    • Degree in engineering, physical, materials, product and industrial design, sustainability, or environmental sciences, or equivalent experience (10+ years).

    • Practical experience in compliance assessment and applying legal requirements, with a focus on hardware, ecodesign, energy labelling, and sustainability.

    • Strong logical problem-solving skills, excellent communication in English, and proactive customer engagement.

    • Ability to work autonomously, set priorities, and mentor other team members.

    • Willingness to undergo Security Vetting and obtain Security Clearance.

    Desirable Qualifications


    • Knowledge of additional product compliance laws (e.g., RoHS, REACH, WEEE, Biocides, F-gas, California Proposition 65).

    • Familiarity with standardization processes and involvement in committees at national/European/international levels.

    • Previous experience in technical or environmental consultancy and working with regulatory bodies.

    • Chartered Status in a recognized Chartered Institute and experience in the product engineering sector.
