- Providing specialist technical knowledge to maintain HV and LV electrical infrastructure across the Teesside sites. Reporting any issues to the Site Responsible Engineer.
- Ensuring statutory testing/inspections of key safety systems are carried out to meet the requirements of company safety policy and UK legislative guidelines, including electrical protective systems (e.g. RCDs, circuit breakers), electrical distribution equipment (substations, distribution boards and panels) and emergency protective equipment (e.g. emergency lighting & fire alarms).
- Managing multiple teams of contractors and third-party organisations ensuring site operations, infrastructure projects and site maintenance work is to the required standard and executed to JM EHS Requirements. Prioritising and assigning contractor tasks to meet working schedules.
- Collaborating with and providing technical expertise to projects teams, technicians and customers during installation, commissioning, modification and troubleshooting of site utility electrical engineering equipment.
- Specifying and procuring equipment to support infrastructure projects, preventative maintenance programmes and repairs/remedial action.
- Supporting the annual maintenance site shutdowns of Stockton and Chilton Sites to ensure essential works are carried out with minimal disruption to business and experimental operations.
- 18th Ed qualified
- Competency in HV/MV/LV power distribution systems, including emergency power supply systems
- Experience of managing electrical infrastructure on a COMAH site
- Knowledge electrical installations in Hazardous Areas
- Experience of the Leadership and Supervision of electrical staff of varying competencies.
- Delivery focused to business-critical timescales and able to work under pressure
