    Working within the ProtectUK team and reporting directly to the ProtectUK Digital Content Manager, the ProtectUK Content Officer will support the content production, feedback monitoring and editorial function of ProtectUK, a platform which contributes directly to CTP's Protect and Prepare mission. You'll be part of a highly motivated team, with the chance to directly contribute to the UK's ability to protect against, and prepare to respond to, a terror attack. You'll also have the chance to put forward your own ideas for activity that supports the team objectives.

    The post holder will help to plan, manage, deliver, evaluate and continually improve ProtectUK's content and design. You'll help to make best use of ProtectUK, supporting the team in developing compelling content that helps our priority audiences to keep communities safe from terrorism.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead on all administrative requirements to effectively support the delivery of high standard Communications content
    • Provide administrative support to the Head of ProtectUK as required
    • Collaborate with key partners and stakeholders to produce highest quality, effective and audience led communications products, with due consideration for use of a wide range of formats (i.e. video, images, webinars).
    • Provide advice and support on evaluation and insight from the platform to improve future content and user journey.
    • Strong quality assurance ability to ensure that all CTP products reach the highest standards
    • An advocate for the shared commitment to IDE
    • Support the wider delivery effort CT Protect and Prepare and crisis response as part of any national CT Major incident

    Knowledge:

    • Interest and good understanding of digital communications and how they can be used to best effect Awareness of the role of audience insight and research in planning communications activity
    • Good understanding of various communication formats, using that knowledge to choose the right approach
    • Understanding of the importance of evaluation and the practical application of lessons learned to improve communications activity
    • Awareness of the use of analytical tools and data to improve communications - desirable

    Experience:

    • Some experience (+2 years) working on communications projects with evidence demonstrating your impact and involvement
    • Experience in producing high quality content for different audience groups, purpose and formats

    • Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and deliver on competing demands
    • Able to work flexibly on a range of activities, both independently and as part of a team
    • Able to build good relationships with a wide range of people
    • Ability to look ahead and plan activity, keeping in mind wider context and organisational activity
    • Ability to work with a wide variety of stakeholders of all levels and to express ideas and views persuasively
