Hardware Engineer - What you get to do

  • Produce detailed interconnection wiring diagrams and schedules for Ground and Air Systems.
  • Produce and maintain design calculations
  • Power capacity/consumption across various mission profiles.
  • Produce design specifications for hardware procurement, using relevant standards and customer requirements for external subcontractors.
- provide EMC knowledge during the design and testing phase, based on commercial and defence standards.


Skills and qualifications helpful for the role of Hardware Engineer

  • Expertise in R&D hardware engineering from a sector such as communications, RF engineering, aerospace or another safety critical industry.
  • Ability to gain UK SC level clearance.
  • Working knowledge of UK Wiring Standards (BS7671)
  • Experience in EMC and Environmental design & Testing
