    About the School
    Liverpool College is a mixed ability 4-19 Academy of some 1660 pupils. The College is situated on a leafy 28-acre campus located in the Mossley Hill area of Liverpool adjacent to Sefton Park. The College was founded in 1840 and was a founding member of the Headmaster's Conference and was a fee-paying school until September 2013, when it became an all-through academy for pupils aged 4 to 19 years old. The College also offers state boarding provision.

    In the last few years, it has become one of the most over-subscribed schools in the North of England.     About the Role
    This is a part time, fixed term post commencing 29th of August, 2024. To work as part of the Primary team to deliver high quality teaching in order for students to make good progress in school. Working under the direction of The Head of Primary, the teacher has the following responsibilities:
    • Provide effective teaching and learning strategies that allow all children to progress.
    • To develop appropriate resources and teaching and learning strategies to make the curriculum accessible for all.
    • To prepare assessments that will allow progress to be shown.
    • To ensure short, medium and long-term planning is effectively carried out and students' individual needs are met through appropriate differentiation in all classes taught.
    • To ensure high standards of students' attainment, behaviour and motivation through effective teaching.
    • Maintain the positive ethos and core values of the school, both inside and outside the classroom.
    • Ensure a duty of care at all times to safeguard and promote the welfare of all children.
    • To support school policy.
    • The successful candidate will make a full contribution to the pastoral and extra-curricular life of this busy and successful school.

    Personal Qualities
    We require an enthusiastic and positive individual, committed to the well-being of children and young people, who has:

    • Qualified Teacher Status
    • Good education to GCSE level including English, Maths and Science, Educated to degree level.
    • A Levels in related subjects
    • Successful experience working in a primary environment teaching [KS1 and KS2].
    • Must have sound knowledge of the KS1 and KS2 National Curriculum for all subjects.
    • Be able to deploy a range of strategies to create a positive learning environment and manage behaviour.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
