What You Need to Know

We are looking for a Project Planner to join and support our highly respected and experienced team based in Great Yarmouth.**
This role has a hybrid/flexible approach, with a requirement to be based in any UK facility (Great Yarmouth, Glasgow, Skene Aberdeen). There is an expectation to visit our Great Yarmouth facility on a regular basis.


Our Project Planner will help establish and support Proserv's current and future global projects, reporting to the Manager of Projects while working closely with project managers along with other individuals in the engineering, operations, and commercial teams.


You will develop project schedules to provide a comprehensive and robust plan to drive the execution, monitor progress, determine critical path dependencies, and provide regular progress reports and S-Curves.

The project schedules must also allow for a portfolio understanding across projects to make priority decisions as and when required.

In this role, you will support sales with bid schedules and developing templates for timely turnaround.


You will be an integral part of the Proserv Project Delivery team along with overall execution planning effort supporting management.

The primary role of the Project Planner will be to develop robust schedules in support of project development and integrate and monitor schedules from various vendors into an integrated master project schedule and ensure that capital projects are progressed per schedule.


Some of the Key Accountabilities (includes, but not limited to the following:

  • Develop and create various CPM compliant schedules including but not limited to schedule related responses for RFP/RFQ, project baseline schedules, resource loaded schedules and project change-driven schedules in a collaborative environment with project managers and various other teams, including but not limited Sales, Engineering, Commercial, and Operational teams.
  • Plan and coordinate all planning and scheduling activities under the guidance of Proserv's leadership team. This includes reorganizing the schedule logic and activity durations resulting from a change in scope or means and methods, as well as updating the schedule for additional work activities following the industry/Proserv/Client project management and controls guidelines.
  • Develop process and integrate multiple schedules into a master project schedule, baseline, status, and perform measurement baseline. Developing visibility for resources constraints, workload requirements and opportunities for execution improvements. This process will need to incorporate forecast and target projects to ensure prospective project can be executed in a timely fashion to meet the customer needs.
  • Oversee and ensure that project planning and schedule standards are implemented, and all project related activities comply with the project baseline schedules, project vision and strategy. Implementation and development of Primavera as a primary planning tool will be critical going forward and extensive knowledge of this tool required.
  • Be able to contribute to developing planning and scheduling processes for the global operations especially for project execution which will require to work closely with other business units including global PMO across the globe.
  • Provide analysis, reports, and review of contractual requirements regarding project controls and its scheduling.
  • Work closely with various internal teams, consultants, and contractors to develop and maintain detailed resource loaded schedules.
  • Develop and maintain summary level schedule reports: Gantt, milestone charts, and other tools used to support critical path analysis, short term lookahead reports, prioritybased resource allocations, performance variances, and to support cost/schedule integration.
  • Periodic progress updates of inprogress schedules. Collection of all pertinent data required to update the schedule. The Planner/Scheduler is responsible for collection of update data from multiple sources, including internal Project Managers, contractors, engineering leads, Supply Chain, etc.
