    Main duties of the job

    Clinical Excellence: Contribute to tailored patient care across specialised pathways like hyper-acute stroke, acute myocardial infarction, and major trauma, ensuring top-tier care locally.

    Teaching & Research: Participate in teaching clinical students, training junior doctors, and engaging in research initiatives integral to everyday clinical activities.

    Workforce Alignment: Collaborate in aligning the workforce with patient needs, evolving consultant rota patterns, including the introduction of consultant night shifts, guided by comprehensive departmental approaches.

    Continuous Development: Maintain up-to-date knowledge through professional development activities, ensuring adherence to Trust policies and procedures.

    Management & Governance: Undertake administrative duties, participate in clinical governance activities, and contribute to risk management, quality improvement, and infection control measures.
