    WHAT TO EXPECT

    Join our team at JLR as a Manufacturing Process Engineer, where you'll play a pivotal role in our journey towards electrification. As part of our dynamic Current Manufacturing Engineering department, you'll spearhead the integration of cutting-edge electrification technologies into our production processes, shaping the future of automotive manufacturing.

    As a key member of the process launch team, you'll lead the charge in introducing new manufacturing products and facilities tailored specifically for electrification. From Battery Packs to Electric Drive Units and beyond, you'll be at the forefront of delivering our next generation of vehicles.

    In this role, you'll collaborate closely with our Powertrain Manufacturing Engineering (PTME) departments, ensuring seamless integration and handover of state-of-the-art facilities. You'll also work hand in hand with Manufacturing Operations teams to optimize current production processes, driving efficiency and quality across the board.

    Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Develop and implement assembly and test processes tailored for electrification.
  • Provide feedback for continuous improvement and design for assembly.
  • Ensure robust process quality planning, including FMEA's
  • Evaluate and integrate manufacturing technologies suited for electrification applications.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and support new model planning with an emphasis on electrification.
  • Achieve Equipment Capability targets for new electrification facilities.
  • WHAT YOU'LL NEED

    Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Proficiency in MS Office, CAD, and strong IT skills.
  • Deep understanding of assembly processes and equipment, particularly in the context of electrification.
  • Proven experience in facility installation, commissioning, and product launch, with a focus on electrification.
  • Fluent in interpreting Electrical and Mechanical machine drawings.
  • Strong grasp of manufacturing engineering principles with a knack for reviewing and improving engineering drawings.
