    What will you be doing?

    As a Mitsubishi PLC Systems Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimising manufacturing processes related to Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems manufactured by Mitsubishi Electric. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient production of high-quality PLC systems that meet customer requirements and industry standards.

    Your main responsibilities will be:

    • PLC Systems Design and Development:
      • Design and develop Mitsubishi PLC systems for various industrial applications.
      • Customise PLC configurations based on customer specifications and project requirements.
      • Implement programming logic and conduct thorough testing to ensure functionality and reliability.
    • Manufacturing Process Optimisation:
      • Analyse existing manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement.
      • Develop and implement strategies to optimize production efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
      • Collaborate with production teams to streamline workflows and eliminate bottlenecks in the manufacturing process.
    • Quality Assurance:
      • Establish quality standards and procedures for PLC system manufacturing.
      • Conduct regular quality inspections and audits to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.
      • Investigate and resolve any quality issues or non-conformities that arise during production.
    • Documentation and Reporting:
      • Maintain comprehensive documentation of manufacturing processes, including specifications, schematics, and procedures.
      • Generate reports on manufacturing performance, including key metrics such as productivity, yield, and defect rates.
      • Communicate findings and recommendations to management and stakeholders.

    Qualifications

    Experience, skills and qualifications required:

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
    • Proven experience in PLC programming and systems integration, particularly with Mitsubishi Electric PLCs.
    • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including assembly, testing, and quality control.
    • Proficiency in CAD software for designing electrical schematics and layouts.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
    • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as ISO 9001 and IEC 61131, is desirable.
    • Prior experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably in the automation or industrial equipment sector.
