Hybrid / West Midlands (1 day a week on site)

£55,000 - £65,000 + Bonus (Circa 25%) + Great Company Benefits


The Company


My client, one of the UK's leading financial services companies, who have won multiple awards for being an exceptional place to work.

They are looking for a Cloud Designer with DevOps experience to join exciting and hardworking IT team.


About the role

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain endtoend lowlevel technical system designs and best practices design patterns.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure Public Cloud Infrastructure requirements are understood and translated.
  • Create and evaluate technical component designs and enforce the integrity of the endtoend solutions throughout the delivery lifecycle ensuring any solutions are fit for purpose.
  • Access and provide deep architectural expertise and guidance to senior business stakeholders on Azure.
  • Assist in the creation of highlevel Public Cloud architectural solutions and blueprints including design governance submissions relating to Public Cloud components.
  • Provide 3rd/4th line operational support of projects consuming Public Cloud services including acceptance into service activities to handover new developments into support.
  • Serve on project, technology, and solution review boards to ensure all Public Cloud documentation and designs are in line with current internal standards, roadmaps, and frameworks.

Key Experience

  • Be proactive and selfdriven and show examples of this.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in DevOps / Agile teams with experience of DevOps tooling and implementing DevOps Tool Chains.
  • Have a strong understanding of and experience in delivering world class operational support and incident resolution in both on premise and Cloud based environments.
  • Have some sort of experience in a Financial Services, insurance, investments and or pensions environment
  • Be effective both internally and externally, demonstrating third party supplier and stakeholder management skills.
  • Have the ability to effectively plan and deliver complex activities Ability to troubleshoot complex, technical solutions within a Hybrid Cloud Environment
  • Have a proven track record of successfully designing Microsoft Azure solutions with a strong background in Azure and Office 365 Services and Toolsets
