If so, we have an exciting role for you as an HSE Consultant, where you will play a key role in driving health and safety (H&S) compliance across our business units.

In this dynamic position, you will work closely with operational management teams, acting as a catalyst for change and ensuring H&S practices are adhered to. Your expertise and guidance will empower teams to proactively manage H&S risks, fostering a culture of safety throughout the organisation.

As the HSE Consultant, you will take charge of managing H&S related audits and compliance actions, ensuring that all necessary measures are in place to mitigate risks effectively. You will develop and implement key controls to support safe H&S operations, while also monitoring the progress of audit actions to ensure timely completion.

Collaborating with the HSE team, you will contribute to the review and development of appropriate H&S policies. Your insights and recommendations will help shape a comprehensive and robust framework, promoting the well-being of our employees and customers alike.

Monitoring incident reports will be a crucial aspect of your role, where you will lead investigations or provide guidance to operational teams as needed. By analysing incidents, you will identify areas for improvement and implement proactive measures to prevent future occurrences.

As the dedicated HSE Consultant for our UK-based operations, you will be responsible for providing regular performance reporting. Your comprehensive reports will offer valuable insights into the unit's H&S performance, enabling informed decision-making and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Development of the Account H&S Risk and Compliance Plans in accordance with the ISS Group HSEQ Management system, FS&R Sector Integrated Management System (IMS) and Account contract in support of customer requirements. Ensure alignment, effective implementation and synergy across the account in compliance with contract SLA's and KPI's

Manage and Analyse key performance data and communicate results through informed reporting (Insight)

Provide assistance and guidance to teams on all incident investigations and lead investigations as required
***:

Track all incidents and report back to the Barclays UK ISS Head of HSEQ on all possible lost time and RIDDOR accidents and incidents
***:

Responsible for validating and allocating any audit actions to the correct internal owner and track and manage to ensure completion within the required timeframes
***:

Monitor the account for HSE compliance & performance through inspection and audits and manage all corrective actions and observations from all site audits and inspections report back to the Barclays UK ISS Head of HSEQ on non-conformances

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
***-
NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent)
***:
-
Chartered IOSH (or currently Graduate IOSH and undertaking IPD towards Chartered status)
***:
-
Working knowledge in HSEQ Management systems and ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 45001)
***:
-
Certified ISO internal auditor (desirable)
***:
-
Experience is developing continuous improvement strategies, risk reduction initiatives, risk profiling and risk management
***:

Interpersonal ability to build and maintain effective communication with multiple stakeholders
***:
-
Experienced in managing and tracking H&S performance, incident investigation and compliance actions
***:
-
Dynamic multitasker (able to work on multiple deliverables in parallel)
