    MailOnline, the world's largest English-language newspaper website with over 202 million unique monthly visitors globally, is looking for a talented Social Media Freelancer to join the Sport team in London.

    Suitable candidates will have experience managing sport social media pages, with a track record of driving referral traffic and increasing engagement.

    Responsibilities:

    · Assist in managing MailOnline Sport social feeds

    · Drive referral traffic from social media platforms to the MailOnline website

    · Increase engagement by creating eye-catching social media posts, native imagery and video for MailOnline Sport social feeds

    · Cover live sporting events and breaking news on social media and emerging platforms

    · Work alongside reporters and editors from the sport desk to deliver top-class content to our audience

    · Monitor the competitive landscape, identify trends in social media and news consumption

    Qualifications:

    · Passionate sport fan with a keen eye for how stories are shared on social media

    · In-depth knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc.) and how brands use said platforms to increase referral traffic and drive engagement

    · Prior experience managing social media platforms for a digital media publication

    · Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro is desirable

    · Strong copywriting skills, spelling, grammar and writing techniques that capture audience interest

    · Demonstrable digital production skills, including an ability to work comfortably within content management systems

    · Experience of working to a social media strategy, KPI's and goals

    · Committed to being the number one publisher in the field, with the ability to work quickly in pressured situations and distribute breaking news
