Join us as a Back End Engineer:

  • This is an opportunity for a technically minded Back End Engineer to join Mettle, where digital, innovation and strategy comes together

What you'll do

You'll also:

  • Design and develop reusable libraries and APIs for use across the bank
  • Design and develop software that is amenable for a greater automation of build, release testing and deployment process on all environments
  • Drive the reuse and sharing of platform components and technologies within the software engineering teams
  • Write unit and integration tests, in automated test environments to ensure code quality
The skills you'll need
We're looking for Java Engineers to join one of our mission teams.

Key to success in the role is self-motivation and a passion for both business and technology innovation, as well as the ability to clearly understand the user experience and being able to applythis understanding to enhance the overall customer experience.


You'll also need:

  • Solid practical and theoretical knowledge of Java software development
  • Experience with Spring Boot and/or Micronaut
  • An understanding of Kubernetes / Docker
  • An understanding of AWS (deployment / configuration)
  • Messagedriven architectures / Kafka / event sourcing
  • Success delivering within an agile environment
